About the Company
Global Coal Solutions Pty Ltd was incorporated on the back of several successful trials, which proved the validity of the company’s Carbon Liberation Process.
The Companies process design refines coal in preparation for it’s traditional, more recent and future uses:
- Traditional - thermal, coking;
- More recent - gasification of coal, powdered activated carbon, coal fillers, carbon fiber pre-cursor, low ash pellets for third world stove heating;
- Future – we invite you to use your imagination.
About Our People
GREIG FREEMAN - Managing Director
Greig has executed the testing phase of GCS’s technology and manages the business. His experience in the coal business comes from the chemical refining component of coal refining and the higher end value products in the coal industry. With this knowledge he has been able to link up with Traditional Coal Industry Professionals and together they have designed the Carbon Liberation Process.
GRANT FLEMING – Coal Preparation & CLP Technical Evaluation
Grant is widely recognized as one of the most experienced coal preparation engineers in Australia. Grant has designed, constructed and commissioned state of the art coal preparation plants in Australia, China, Indonesia, South Africa and the U.S. The designs that Grant has contributed to coal preparation have set benchmarks for plant designers for their low cost, high productivity and ease of erection. Grant has advanced the design and operation of large diameter heavy medium cyclone plants greatly by presenting numerous papers and design courses.
DOMINIC BEIRNE - Business & Marketing
Dominic is a recent convert to the Coal Industry, having spent his professional life in Horse Racing. Licensed as an on-course bookmaker in 1980, within 3 years Dominic had the highest turnover of any bookmaker in the world, wagering solely on local horse races. He revolutionized the role of a bookmaker and the art of race-form analysis, before retiring from bookmaking in 1988.
Dominic sat on the Appeals Panel for Racing NSW Australia for 10 years, wrote and presented a paper at the Asian Racing Conference in Tokyo in 2008 and has invented new bet-types and mathematical solutions to the benefit of the racing industry.
With his experience in Education and the Media, Dominic is invited to make regular appearances on National TV and presentations on radio in many States of Australia.
COLIN JOHNSTON – Corporate Mentor CPA, FCIS
Colin has many years experience in the Coal, Coke and other Metalliferous Mining Industries, both overseas and in Australia. His directorships and senior Executive positions include associations with many large Global organizations in the mining and associated service industries.
JAMES SNEDDEN – Mining & Mine Management
James has over 40 years experience in the Senior Management of open cut and underground coal mines. In 1994 he co-founded a specialized company utilising “Cutting Edge Technology” for the design, construction and operation of modular coal preparation plants in Australia and China.
STEPHEN O’DEA – Logistics
Stephen has many years experience as an importer from all over the Asian Pacific region. As a wholesaler and a retailer, Stephen understands logistics. His import business has thrived on the back of his passionate delivery of service: “customer satisfaction is all that matters”. As a recent convert to the coal industry he sees an industry with great challenges ahead and he wants to be part of it.
