What are the benefits of pre combustion coal technology for power stations?

In the case of Thermal Power Stations, higher ash coal fuels present a significant problem, mainly due to the ash left over from partial combustion. This ash waste is hazardous, only part of which is recyclable as road bases and cements. The remainder, which in some countries is 70/% of the hazardous waste, must be committed to landfill. By providing Power Stations a lower ash fuel, the Carbon Liberation Process alters dramatically the dynamics of waste recycling. CLP coal will have around a 10% to 15% higher net energy than the parent coal would have because less coal will be combusted for the same net energy.

The higher efficiencies created, will lower costs on all downstream pollution control devices. The CLP process is suitably placed at the mine-site or at power plants in countries such as JAPAN, USA, AUSTRALIA and CHINA.

How can Coal Mines increase yield and product at the same time?

By Fuel Blending: Presently, in order to meet sales specifications Coal Mines blend their product. With the implementation of a Carbon Liberation Process plant, mines instantly improve the quality of their product and overall yield. The product can be blended with other ROM or Washed Coal.

As with the rise of coal seam gas around the world, the USA is putting a lot of political weight behind Coal to Liquids technology. Although Global Coal Solution Pty Ltd has not had any discussions with Coal to Liquids players, interim research confirms that in order to produce a coal to diesel product a higher energy coal is necessary. The GCS product is higher in energy and lower in ash. It is the perfect fuel for coal-to-diesel technology.
